My ashram, an open book: Amrithanadamayi

PALAKKAD: Mata Amrithanandamayi said on Saturday that her ashram is an open book and all income and expenditure are properly accounted. Mata was speaking at a function in connection with Puthoor Brahmasthana festival.

It was her first response after serious allegations were raised against the Amrithanandamayi math by an Australian woman, who was once her close aide and disciple.

“The ashram has nothing to hide. Unable to fulfil their ambitions, some may spread rumours and false information. But what I’m trying is to forgive them. I have not told anyone to serve me but what I am doing is, serving others,” said Amrithanandamayi, who also alleged that some people are trying to ignite communal rivalry through false propaganda.
