Leaders’ public statements come under criticism in Congress meet

KOLLAM: KPCC coordination committee, on Monday, came down heavily on Congress leaders making public statements. KPCC president V M Sudheeran gave strong instructions that statements on the selection of Lok Sabha candidates should only be made in party forums.

The first KPCC meeting under Sudheeran’s presidentship also decided to impose ban on public statements by party leaders.

The meeting also took exception to Sudhakaran MP, who made a speech opposing Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi’s suggestion to avoid groupism in the party. Sudheeran said nobody should question Sonia Gandhi and her decision would be final.
