Ministers will follow code of conduct, if any: Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that if any code of conduct is prescribed for ministers, they will follow it.

After the cabinet meeting, he told the media that he would move forward with KPCC president VM Sudheeran unitedly.

The cabinet has given the nod for a scheme to pay Rs 20,000 to 5lakh as compensation to the victims of accidents and crimes.

In order to source fund for rubber storage, a consortium of Rs 50 crore will be formed in association with cooperative banks.

Handling charges given to agencies storing rubber have been increased to Rs 6/kg from Rs 4/kg.

Government employees who joined the service from April 1, 2013 and those who are liable for joint pension have been placed under general provident fund.
