NEW DELHI: The CBI Sunday informed that more proofs have been obtained against Alex C Joseph, arrested in smuggling luxurious cars to India by evading customs duty. CBI sources said that he was doing business using his close relationship with leaders of Congress and BJP.
The nine phones seized from him at the time of arrest contained numbers of union ministers, BJP and congress leaders and their personal staff. The CBI has decided to probe in detail his close relationship with a leader of Kerala.
Alex reached Delhi to hold talks with a company having its headquarters in Dubai for buying equipment needed for power grid corporation. The CBI found that Alex visited Dubai using a fake passport. The CBI also noticed that Alex has a house worth more than 45 crores in Delhi.
