THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has said the reports that he had complained to Congress president Sonia Gandhi against KPCC president V M Sudheeran were false. “I usually make a visit to President Sonia Gandhi, occasionally, to apprise her of the political situation in Kerala. Last time also I did that and it was not a visit to complain against Sudheeran. The purpose of my visit was misrepresented in some reports,” Chennithala explained on his facebook page.
Conceding to the fact that it was a setback for the Congress in civic polls, Ramesh said the party would unitedly survive the backlash. “In the coming days, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Sudheeran and I would interact with the Congress leaderships of 14 districts and work out a strategy to come out of the present crisis. And, this is not the time for blame game,” he added.
