KOCHI: The Kerala High Court Tuesday sought government’s stand on the plea of P P Priyan of Palluruthy seeking a CBI probe in connection with the death of Swamy Saswathikananda. The court has sent a notice to Sree Narayana Dharma Vedi general secretary Biju Ramesh for his allegation that swamy was murdered.

The government had earlier decided to a conduct a further probe by the crime branch.

Priyan had mentioned in the plea that Biju Ramesh had stated that Vellappally Natesan and his son Tushar Vellappally had entrusted him to kill the swamy. The government announced a further probe on the basis of concocted allegation. The crime branch questioned me thrice in connection with the case. The crime branch, who probed the case earlier, found that there is nothing unnatural.  The investigation yet again is unnecessary, he said.
