Decisions cannot be taken if opportunists given power: Sudheeran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief V M Sudheeran came to the fore supporting the district congress leadership in the administration of Kannur Corporation. It was the party’s moral stand not to gain power with the help of a rebel. Inaugurating the Indira Gandhi birth remembrance, he blamed the CPM for adopting an opportunistic stand in Kannur.

Sudheeran said the congress would have gained power in many local bodies if the party had compromised with rebels. Strong decisions cannot be taken if assumed power like that. A panel led by Minister K C Joseph had been entrusted to solve the problems in Kannur. The panel adopted a strong stand there and had lifted the party’s moral stand, he said.

The strategies of Indira Gandhi are still significant.  The policies of Indira Gandhi are still significant, he said.
