It would have been a mistake if Mani’s resignation was sought, says Chandy

KOCHI: If Finance Minister K M Mani’s resignation was sought in the name of the court verdict ordering a further probe in the bar case, then it would have been a mistake which could not be corrected, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Talking at the election campaign in Kochi, he said the further probe in the case is only a natural act, he said.

The LDF has no subject to highlight in the local body polls and so are aiming the court order. However, the opposition raised the bar scam during the Aruvikkara bypoll time also. What happened then? They were not able to flare up the order in the bar case. The people of the state acts only after understanding everything and will cast their vote as per that.

Even after getting a good prey like Vellappally Natesan, opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has neglected it, he said.
