Kasturrirangan: P C Joseph quits chairman post

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After it became clear that the draft notification on Kasturirangan will not come out on Friday, Kerala Congress and High Range Action Council members came out to express their embarrassment over the delay.

Kerala Feeds Chairman and Kerala Congress leader P C Joseph resigned his chairman post, saying that the UDF failed to protect the interest of the farmers.
Kerala Congress also informed the Congress that it would not turn up for bilateral talks until and unless the draft notification was out.

A group in Kerala Congress expressed their willingness to leave the UDF, while leader K M Mani, taking a dig at them, said that no body need to show their individual affinity towards farmers. This also showed that there was difference of opinion in the Kerala Congress.

Meanwhile, High Range Protection council hinted at their plans to field their own candidate in Wayanad for the Lok Sabha election, if the draft notification is not issued soon.
